She was five years old when she was thrown away
She spent her nights and days crying to an open door
Those warm tears have now gone cold, but promise no end
She had no loving hands to embrace her
No pair of lips to kiss away the pain
No one to hold her and guide her to the light
She searched for years for a sign of comfort
Her cries for help preached to the shadows
Pain seeped into her, feeding her hunger and leaving her begging for more
As pictures fade and memories wash away,
The once thriving child slowly dies
Innocence is lost as insanity rapes her mind
Her battered heart tells the story of her life
The past is in the past, but is not yet buried in its grave
The one who was never loved is the easiest to love,
But she's not quick to give it all away
Open your eyes and look at love through her eyes
Peer into her eyes and find yourself
You just might find yourself getting lost in her love
